Sound Healing
Science and ancient wisdom agree: everything is vibration.
We exist within a living universe of sound and frequency, even beyond what the human ear can perceive. From the subtle hum of atoms to the resonance of celestial bodies, vibration is the foundation of life itself.
“There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres.”
— Pythagoras
NASA has recorded the sounds of planets and stars, echoing what ancient cultures, such as the Egyptians, understood intuitively: sound is a powerful healing force. These civilizations used vibration ceremonially and therapeutically to restore balance in the body, mind, and spirit. (Explore Solfeggio frequencies or The Pyramid Code to dive deeper.)
The Sound Healing Modalities I Offer
Acutonics®
Acutonics is the precise application of tuning forks on acupuncture points, blending Traditional Chinese Medicine, modern science, psychology, and cosmology. These tuning forks are calibrated to a cosmic scale, mathematically derived from the rotations and orbits of the planets—often referred to as the music of the spheres.
Pythagoras coined the word kosmos, meaning harmony and order. Acutonics works on this principle, inviting the body back into its natural state of coherence and balance.
Clients often experience:
-
Release of emotional and energetic stagnation
-
Support in breaking repetitive patterns
-
Deep nervous system regulation
-
A renewed sense of clarity, expansion, and embodiment
As one teaching beautifully names it:
“The breakthrough and birth of the immortal self.”
This work supports the healthy flow of Qi, prana, mana—life force energy—allowing the body to remember its innate intelligence.
Crystal Singing Bowls
I also work with crystal singing bowls made of 99.99% pure quartz crystal, tuned to 432 Hz, a frequency shown to resonate harmoniously with the human body and natural systems. Unlike 440 Hz, which can create subtle tension, 432 Hz encourages coherence, grounding, and ease. (Explore cymatics to see how sound visibly shapes matter.)
Additional Sound Instruments & Elemental Frequencies
Tibetan Singing Bowls
Hand-hammered and rooted in Himalayan tradition, Tibetan singing bowls have been used for centuries to support meditation, healing, and spiritual awakening. Their rich, layered overtones gently entrain the brain into slower, meditative states while balancing the chakras and harmonizing the nervous system. Each bowl carries its own unique voice, inviting deep grounding and inner stillness.
Paiste New Moon Gong
The gong is a powerful agent of transformation. The New Moon Gong carries a vast spectrum of frequencies that wash over the body, dissolving energetic blockages and quieting the thinking mind. Its waves of sound create a sense of timelessness—often described as a full-system reset—supporting release, renewal, and rebirth.
Koshi Chimes
Tuned to the elements, Koshi chimes offer delicate, cascading tones that feel like whispers to the nervous system. Their gentle resonance invites a sense of lightness, play, and presence, helping to integrate deeper sound experiences and restore emotional balance.
Rain Stick
Echoing the rhythms of nature, the rain stick calls in the soothing, primordial memory of water. Its sound encourages surrender, fluidity, and emotional release, supporting the body’s natural ability to soften and flow.
Didgeridoo
One of the oldest wind instruments on Earth, the didgeridoo produces low-frequency vibrations that resonate deeply through the body. Its grounding, rhythmic pulse supports breath awareness, vagal tone, and energetic alignment—often creating a profound sense of safety, embodiment, and connection to the Earth.
Intuitive Vocals & Toning
The human voice is one of the most powerful healing instruments. Through intuitive vocal toning, mantra, song, and harmonic resonance, sound becomes personal and alive in the moment. Vocal vibrations meet participants exactly where they are, creating a deeply relational and heart-centered experience.
Sound & Connective Tissue
-
Science has found that even what seems solid is moving and actually vibrations are produced. “All physical matters are composed of vibration.” Max Planck
-
Sound is present everywhere both physically and subtly.
-
Sound even helps to regulate up to 50% of the body’s biological processes.
-
A sound enters the body through the cranial bones and hearing apparatus and travels through the body via the connective tissue. It uses water to speed vertically through the body at about five-thousand-feet per second. The transmission slows or stops when the connective tissue is too thick, inflexible, or dry- problems often created by incomplete emotional reaction, such as sadness or fear. Sound cannot flow through inflexible tissue as easily.
-
The human body is about 70% water, the same ratio of water on Earth. Since sound travels 50% faster in water than in the air we are natural conductors of vibration. We are natural conductors and resonate sound within us.
-
Sound can stimulate blocked emotions and trigger the original feelings. The emotions initially cause a bodily disturbance such as tension or tightening. If not allowed to fully sense and express the feelings or receive the needed comfort or validation, the body will remain tense and the tissue, especially the connective tissue will become blocked. I practice Acutonics- Where tuning forks are applied to acupuncture points. These tuning forks are on a cosmic scale similar to a harmonic scale but mathematically derived from the rotations and orbit of the planets. Acutonics is an integrated approach to health care grounded in Traditional Chinese Medicine, psychology, science, cosmological studies, and sound healing principles. I am a level-2 Practitioner Certified in 2016, and will be continuing to learn more fall 2019.
The Synergy of SoundHealing and Connective Tissue
SONIC YIN
In Yin Yoga, we rest in asana long enough to gently stimulate the meridians and hydrate the connective tissues, allowing Qi to move without force. As the body softens, the fascia—rich in water—becomes more receptive and conductive. Sound travels more efficiently through water than through air, which makes the yin body an ideal landscape for vibrational healing and resonance therapy.
As sound waves move through hydrated connective tissue, they ripple through the meridian pathways, harmonizing the nervous system and supporting the free flow of Qi, prana, and life force. Vibration reaches places that effort cannot, dissolving stagnation, softening held emotions, and restoring coherence on a cellular level.
Yin yoga creates the stillness; sound provides the movement. Together, they offer a deeply nurturing experience, like being wrapped in a vibrational embrace. Inviting the body back into balance, harmony, and remembrance of its natural rhythm.
Yin and energy pathways
Yin has 4 Thattvas (principles) :
-
To move into position that is sensational, but not at the edge of resistance.
-
Find a place of stillness.
-
Remain for time, balanced on both sides. Beginners hold for about 45 seconds.
-
Moving deeper if sensation disperses, or backing off if the intensity steadily increases. Holding for 8 minutes at most.
-
Yin is the feminine of the yin/yang; the divine feminine, receptivity, darkness, and the moon are integrated into each class.
-
Between poses allowing a moment of Savasana and rest can be extremely beneficial. Go at your own pace. There is no place you need to be, just within your own experience.
NO experience necessary, or memorization all details here are explained in class.

Why have Sound Healing or Sonic Yin at Retreats & Events
Sound healing creates a shared field of resonance, making it especially powerful in group settings. It deepens meditation, enhances yoga and embodiment practices, and allows participants to drop into profound states of rest, insight, and renewal—often beyond what words or movement alone can access.
Whether woven into a retreat, ceremony, or special event, sound healing becomes a memorable, transformative experience—one that participants carry with them long after the final tone fades.
